    Yes, Collingwood covers both taking tuition and sitting your test in the insured car. Your driving instructor or accompanying driver will be required to drive the car home after passing your test. If the unfortunate happens and you fail to pass, they will also be required to return the car directly home.

    No. Any incident that occurs whilst you are taking supervised tuition will be recorded on your Learner Driver Policy and handled by Collingwood.

    If you are the registered keeper/owner of the insured vehicle, the policy offers the level of insurance as detailed in your schedule and policy document and therefore does not need to be insured elsewhere.

    If you are not the registered keeper/owner then the policy only covers the vehicle whilst you are undergoing driving tuition, therefore, the vehicle owner must have the vehicle insured elsewhere for the duration of the Collingwood policy.

    If your policy is at least one Calendar Month (30 days), and you cancel within the 14 day cooling-off period you will receive a refund of the premium you have paid less the days you have been on cover.

    The form is part of your contract and is an agreement to debit future monthly payments from the credit/debit card provided. The form will be emailed to you upon inception of cover. It must be completed and either uploaded to your online account or returned to us at the email address provided.

    After the cooling off period, you will receive a pro-rata refund deducting the charges for time on cover, your non-refundable intermediary fees and a cancellation charge.

    The non-refundable intermediary fees and cancellation charges are outlined in the terms of business agreement.

    If you have a Comprehensive level of cover front windscreen repairs are free of charge, providing you use our approved repairer. If you use an alternative repairer, cover is limited to £225. In respect of front windscreen replacements, a £250 excess applies, however, if you choose to use our approved windscreen repairer the excess will be reduced from £250 to £150. Please note there is no cover for any other glass.

If you have had to re-sit your test within the last 12 months you will not be eligible for this insurance.

    Yes, you can cancel your policy at any time. If you cancel before the policy has started you will receive a full refund.

    You have a 14 day cooling off period, if you change your mind you will receive a pro-rata refund deducting the charges for time on cover and your non-refundable intermediary fees.

    After the cooling off period, you will receive a pro-rata refund deducting the charges for time on cover, your non-refundable intermediary fees and a cancellation charge.

    If you have a Comprehensive level of cover front windscreen repairs are free of charge. Front windscreen replacements a £250 excess applies, however, if you choose to use our approved windscreen repairer the excess will be reduced from £250 to £150. Please note there is no cover for any other glass. A maximum of 2 windscreen claims are covered in one period of insurance.
